Juba Jefferson didn’t learn logistics from a textbook. He learned it from the cab of an 18 wheeler, hauling freight across the country before the sun came up. As a combat veteran, he brought the same discipline and mission focus to every load he moved.

After years on the road, Juba transitioned to the brokerage side of the industry managing carrier relationships, negotiating rates, and building the operational infrastructure that keeps freight moving on time. He earned his MBA while working full time, then asked a question most brokers never consider: what if artificial intelligence could make all of this faster, cheaper, and more reliable?

That question became NexMile Logistics.

Today, Juba is completing an advanced certification in Generative AI and Data Science, applying machine learning models directly to freight pricing, carrier vetting, and customer intelligence. NexMile isn’t just another brokerage with a website it’s a technology company that happens to move freight.
